CLICK to surround yourself with a great cloud of witnesses & join us in Sisters In Scriptures, SIS, for a weekly Scripture to memorize, study and discuss. Our goal is to encourage one another as we run this race and fix our eyes on the author and perfecter of our faith. Each Monday we share a Scripture &  devotional for you to fix your eyes upon throughout the week.

SIS is a group of everyday women of different backgrounds, ages, races, locations and denominations with one common bond, Jesus.  The Bible calls us to meditate upon God’s Word day and night.  SIS currently has a facebook existence of 4000+ members strong that increases everyday along with an email list &  website group of even more.

Each Monday a Scripture aka Word of the Week, SIS WOW, is chosen by one of the SISters and messaged to the group along with a commentary from her or the SIS coordinator, Katie Wolfe.  The SIS WOW is to be written onto an index card or post it note and carried by each person to meditate, memorize and cling to throughout the week.  The group members discuss the Scripture, how is has encouraged, strengthened and or spoken to them personally through their SIS group and on the SIS facebook group wall or blog.

Through this, the Word of God dwells within each person deeply and transforms.  The SIS mascot is a flamingo because just like the flamingo gets it’s beautiful radiant color from the shrimp it takes in, we get real beauty from Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and by taking in God’s Word.

SIS is not your here today and gone tomorrow devotional but a life changing way of living a life that reflects the Glory and Love of the Lord.

Would you want to share a Scripture with the group? You can do this by simply sending me a verse.  Along with it you would also send me a message that I would send to the group to accompany it.  Ex: sharing why you chose it, how it speaks to you or any other insight that you feel would be beneficial to other women.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
